SYNOPSIS

Beyond the story of pirates and adventures, sailboats and treasure maps, Robert Louis Stevenson's masterpiece is an accurate portrait of human greed, but also a precious ode to friendship and, above all, a reflection on the transition from childhood to adulthood.

Bryony Lavery's stage adaptation maintains the spirit of the original novel, its grand themes and poignant portrayal of the complexities of the human soul. Jim Hawkins, its intrepid protagonist, is now a girl who does not resign herself to the role that History reserves for her, because as she herself says, “girls need adventures too”.
